The goal of our dog training camps and dog obedience classes is to establish a foundation of obedience and train aggressive golden retrievers to maintain boundaries in various environments regardless of distractions.  During training camp, our professional dog trainers treat every dog with respect, as we teach obedience and create life-saving boundaries for dogs and people.

We work with all golden retrievers over the age of eight months, regardless of their temperament.  In working with your dog, we use varying degrees of reward and correction customized to your dog’s needs.  Teaching practical boundaries, such as staying inside while the door is open and being well-behaved around all people, we conduct our training in a positive environment, uplifting dogs and treating them with respect.

Three training camps and obedience classes are available for customers in the Allen, Plano, Dallas, and McKinney areas.  The basic on-leash program is a one-week board and train program for golden retrievers and includes 24/7 care and provision of your dog, a mini core equipment package, over 30 hours of hands-on dog training, full conditioning to a prong collar, removing behaviors like jumping and not listening, three education sessions with you, the owner, and more.

For a more advanced off-leash training, Tame offers a two-week board and train program for golden retrievers in DFW.  During this training camp, your dog will receive 24/7 care and provision, over 60 hours of hands-on dog training, a core equipment package, removing behaviors like jumping and running through the front door, four education sessions with you, the owner, and full conditioning to a prong collar and a wireless collar.

If your golden retriever needs extensive training due to aggression or lack of obedience, we offer a four-week board and train program.  The premier off-leash training camp ensures that your dog receives 24/7 care and provision, over 90 hours of hands-on dog training, a core equipment package, full conditioning to a prong collar and wireless collar, high-level distraction proofing, removing unwanted social behaviors, four education sessions with you, the owner, and one check-up sessions that can be used anytime.

After training camp, we know that you’ll need tools to continually reinforce a positive, healthy relationship with your golden retriever.  Our core equipment package includes a leash and prong collar, place mat, compressed air, and a bonker for customers to take home.
