Who we are
The Tame Dog Training Story
We adore dogs, but what we love even more is helping people.
Tame Dog Training is a private club offering comprehensive dog training services for people and their dogs. As a member, you gain access to exclusive services that support you and your dog throughout their lifetime.
Our Vision
Our goal is to expand across North Texas, starting with locations in Dallas and Frisco. We plan to offer private veterinary care, grooming services, and our own store to provide everything dog owners need.
In the future, our McKinney location will become the headquarters for all our brands. We are also in the process of developing sister companies, including Bone Dog Treats, The Dog Food Company, and Pet Life CBD, to further support the dog-owning community.
Our History
Founded in 2015 by Matt Ganim, Tame Dog Training was born out of Matt’s passion for serving others and his creative drive. With a personality as big as his imagination, Matt’s primary mission is to create meaningful, positive change and help as many people as possible.
What began as a one-man operation has grown into a thriving team of like-minded individuals, all dedicated to providing exceptional care for dogs and their families. Over the years, Tame Dog Training has expanded due to the amazing people we’ve had the privilege of serving. Our innovative techniques and unique approach go above and beyond what traditional dog training or boarding services can offer.
From an early age, Matt developed a deep love for dogs, growing up with them in his family. His curiosity about life and animals led him to start training his first dog at the age of 20, which ignited his interest in studying behavior. Inspired by his father, a cognitive and behavioral psychologist, Matt learned that positive reinforcement combined with appropriate punishment could lead to transformative behavioral outcomes. His dad’s insights into behavioral modification shaped Matt’s approach to both human and canine training. This path led Matt to train thousands of dogs and teach others everything he’s learned along the way.
